Every student deserves comfortable, well-fitting shoes they can feel confident wearing. Our mission is to provide that support to students across Appalachian Ohio, one pair at a time.

Every gift puts brand-new, name-brand shoes on the feet of students who need them across Appalachian Ohio.
From a request to a new pair of shoes, our process is simple and student-centered.
A teacher, counselor, or school staff member recognizes when a student needs shoes and submits a confidential request with the student’s size, preferred style, and any other important details.
Our team purchases the right pair of shoes tailored to the student’s needs and preferences, then ships the shoes directly to the student representative assigned to that school.
The student representative brings the shoes to the school, coordinating with staff to ensure that the student receives their new pair with the utmost care and dignity.
Our student representatives are high schoolers in the schools we serve. They help get each pair of shoes to the students who need them, right in their own buildings.

Student Reps are the high-schoolers who personally carry each pair the last mile, hand-delivering shoes to classmates with dignity and care.

Southern Ohio Soles was founded in 2023 by three high school friends who turned their passion for sneakers into a community effort. Now in college, we continue to grow our work with the support of school staff and student representatives.
