Students Helping Students

Student representatives work closely with school staff and the Southern Ohio Soles team to coordinate deliveries, support the request process, and strengthen our connection to each school community. Their leadership allows us to serve students more personally and effectively, right where they are every day.

The student representative program

Beyond getting shoes to the students who need them, the program gives young people across Appalachian Ohio real responsibility and the chance to lead in their schools and communities.

Southern Ohio Soles provides students in need with brand-new shoes. The student representative program builds on that work by giving high schoolers across our region a direct role in serving their communities.

Many students in Appalachian Ohio have real talent and potential. The program gives them a platform to take initiative, collaborate with their peers, and make a measurable difference in the schools and towns they come from.

Representatives are selected through a competitive process and held to a high standard. Our past and current representatives have gone on to strong academic and professional outcomes, and we expect the same of those who follow.
